My name is Alice Hawthorne, and I’m a student at Queen’s University Belfast. I have a BA in Liberal Arts and I am just finishing off my MA in Media and Broadcast Production.
I am an avid reader, book reviewer and content creator. I am passionate about social media and have been managing my Instagram book blog @whatalicereads for nearly 5 years. I post book reviews, monthly wrap-ups and other bookish content. I love connecting with fellow readers, publishers and authors and have been fortunate enough to have attended a few PR events in London and Belfast. I also manage a TikTok account of the same name, where I post bookish vlogs and hauls.
Some of my favourite books are Where The Crawdads Sing, Twilight, The Seven Year Slip, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Writers & Lovers, Cleopatra and Frankenstein, Blue Sisters, The Secret History… upon reflection, it is impossible to choose a favourite – the list goes on and on!
I am super excited to be joining Ivyhill Digital for the summer as Digital Marketing Intern. I have already learnt so much from Johanne and the team. I am really enjoying developing my creative flair and love for social media, while learning new digital marketing skills like writing and creating newsletters through Klaviyo, website audits for clients, and managing the Ivyhill socials.
